Co-Ed Division 2 certainly produced the closest game of the season so far. Specsavers finally beat Mercator after going to an extra innings 10-9. With the scores tied at 8-8 after the normal seven innings Mercator batted first in the extra innings and managed to score 1 run putting pressure on their opponents. Specsavers held their nerve to send two players across the plate and record their first victory this season.

There were two games in the mens league this week both involving Norman Piette Blue Sox and they achieved a different result in each game. Their first game was against Ship and Crown and Blue Sox controlled the game in the early innings leading 12-4 at the bottom of the 4th. Ship and Crown scored seven runs in the last 3 innings and despite 2 home runs from Ian Coutu the damaged had been done and Blue Sox won the game with a bat in hand.

NRG Rangers reduced Blue Sox to only 1 run in their league encounter and Blue Sox had to wait until the last innings to score it. Rangers batted more consistently throughout the game. Ean Sarahs was named player of the game for Rangers turning back the years by playing on third base instead of his usual pitcher position.
