Last week’s softball programme produced some very close games.

Central Electrics remain the only unbeaten men’s teams and held off a late come back from Ship and Crown to win by one run in the seventh innings in near darkness. NRG Rangers men beat Titans in the other men’s league game.

Tornados are setting the pace in Co-Ed Division 1 and recorded two wins last week beating NRG Rangers and ArcTech Panthers respectively. Norman Piette Blue Sox also overcame Rangers who batted better as the game progressed but the early innings score saw Blue Sox safely through.

Specsavers are getting their money’s worth this season by having their 2nd extra innings game in 10 days. Bulldogs supplied stern opposition this time around and were very unlucky to lose only 3-2 to their more experienced opponents.

There were also wins in this division for Core Focus Rookies and Mercator.
