This course will be presented by Chris Moon who is a BASU Training Officer.

The 2 Day BASU Qualifier caters for everyone that may want to attend.  A, B, C grades are achievable following a game assessment and these grades need to be refreshed every 2 years again via a game assessment.
(At this time assessments will not be possible due to scheduling the required games. The GSA will however look to provide the opportunity for assessment in the near future should interest be expressed.)

This course is open to anyone even if they don’t want to be assessed and graded. It is being provided free of charge to any GSA member but places are limited to 15. There is the opportunity however to view the instruction at the diamond and information on this will be released closer to the time.

Please note that as there are limited places (15) available, should the need arise, the GSA may have to decline requests. All applicants will be informed via email of the successful placements on the 16th April. We apologise for this but the restriction on numbers is necessary to provide the correct instructor/player ratio.

To offset the restricted numbers, should your team require any assistance on umpiring again please contact Paul Vaudin with a view to scheduling one of your pre-season training sessions concentrating on umpiring.

The training sessions take place on the lower softball diamond at Beau Sejour behind the netball courts.

Sessions will run every week on Monday nights from 18:00 – 19:30 starting on 30th April.

Junior Development Training

This is an open meeting so anybody can attend. Each new and existing team has to be represented at this meeting by at least one person in order to cast a vote.

As a committee member can not vote for a team, please make sure that another player/person can represent your team if you have a player on the committee.

If anyone has, or knows of someone who has spare glove/s, and they want to donate them to this team, please contact Emma Rhodes.

A Registration Form can be downloaded from this site for completion. The team fees are £145.00 per team.

1. All Proposals must be received by Mel Green, no later than Sunday 2nd October.
2. The Proposal Meeting will take place on Wednesday 5th October at 7:30pm at Beau Sejour.
3. The AGM will take place on Wednesday 9th November at 7:30pm at Beau Sejour.

It should state on each Proposal received as to which GSA Member (team) they are being sent from; ideally they would be sent through your team delegate.  Please note that a Proposal must only deal with one subject. Where possible please send your proposals electronically, either in an e-mail or e-mail attachment.

With reference to the GSA Committee, below are the positions which are available – all roles denoted with * can be job shared, which would mean that you could simply do one task for the season.

The GSA would like to take this opportunity to advise all delegates and players that anyone can offer their services to the GSA by standing for any of the Executive/Non-Executive Member positions.  Should anyone wish to do so, nominations for GSA President or Executive/Non-Executive Member positions are required in writing at least 14 days prior to the AGM

Please note that although as a Member you may not be entering a Proposal or a Nomination, your presence at both Meetings would be appreciated; apologies for non-attendance will be expected. Both Meetings require the quorum number of Members to be present in order that they can take place. Furthermore, each eligible Member is able to have more than one representative in attendance however each eligible Member or Executive Member is entitled to only one vote.
