1. All Proposals must be received by Mel Green, no later than Sunday 2nd October.
2. The Proposal Meeting will take place on Wednesday 5th October at 7:30pm at Beau Sejour.
3. The AGM will take place on Wednesday 9th November at 7:30pm at Beau Sejour.

It should state on each Proposal received as to which GSA Member (team) they are being sent from; ideally they would be sent through your team delegate.  Please note that a Proposal must only deal with one subject. Where possible please send your proposals electronically, either in an e-mail or e-mail attachment.

With reference to the GSA Committee, below are the positions which are available – all roles denoted with * can be job shared, which would mean that you could simply do one task for the season.

The GSA would like to take this opportunity to advise all delegates and players that anyone can offer their services to the GSA by standing for any of the Executive/Non-Executive Member positions.  Should anyone wish to do so, nominations for GSA President or Executive/Non-Executive Member positions are required in writing at least 14 days prior to the AGM

Please note that although as a Member you may not be entering a Proposal or a Nomination, your presence at both Meetings would be appreciated; apologies for non-attendance will be expected. Both Meetings require the quorum number of Members to be present in order that they can take place. Furthermore, each eligible Member is able to have more than one representative in attendance however each eligible Member or Executive Member is entitled to only one vote.

August Fixtures 2011

Standard GSA ground rules will apply whilst games are in play. Click here for August Tournament Rules 2011.

A Team Pack will be available to each team; please ensure this is collected from the van first thing on Saturday (pack includes score sheets/line ups).

After each game, could the score sheets be handed into the van and the score of that game recorded on the score board.

Could the scorers also please ensure that they get an MVP male and female for each team from the umpiring crew.

Balls are provided and available from the van. Balls need to be returned back to the van after each game or left by home plate for the start of the next game.

The van will be located near the top diamond so please support the GSA by purchasing your food and beverages there.

Mel, Peej and Luke will be floating around the park for most of the weekend, so if you have any issues/queries, please do not hesitate to speak with either of them.

With regards to the Presentation Night on Sunday at The Pony Inn, if you haven’t already, could you please give your numbers to Peej (Paula Mahy).

If anyone is taking a camera up to the park please let me know as I may be able to put some of the photos up on the website.

Please be advised that Steve Mahy (Goril) will be holding ‘open’ training sessions for those interested in being considered for selection to represent Guernsey in this year’s Slowpitch Co-ed Muratti (which is being held in here in Guernsey this year).

Training will commence Monday 22nd August 6.30pm – top pitch – and each Monday thereafter until the Muratti.

The date for the Muratti’s (A & B) is Sunday 18th September.

This game is now to be played on Tuesday 16th August at 18.30 on the bottom pitch.

Sportingbet Division 2 game from 16th July: Rangers B v Sluggers (Jets umpiring)

This game is now to be played on Thursday 25th August at 18.30 on the bottom pitch.

The cost of the meal is £25.00 per person (cheques to be made payable to the “Guernsey Softball Association”).
