Rookies win All Division KO

NE Electric Rookies came out on top at this weekend’s Sarnian Roofing All Division KO!

They received a bye in the first round after Harrison Windows Hurricanes were sadly unable to field a team, breezed past Seeker.gg Outlaws in the quarter final, before facing their fellow club team V1 Rookies in the semi final.

The Rookies remained on form and came away with a 30-14 victory versus Tomahawks in the final.

Congratulations!

90th Anniversary Celebration Success

We had a great evening on Sunday throwing our 90th Anniversary Celebration at Northerners AC.

The hog roast went down a treat, meat draw prizes were won and somebody walked away with a new brand spanking new bat!

It was lovely to see our community come together with faces both old and new celebrating our longstanding association.

Our special 90th Anniversary pins were given to ex-Fastpitch players as a token and to the visiting Dodgy Knicks to commemorate their 25th tournament.

We would like to thank Northerners AC for their hospitality and helping us out with the last minute venue change, to all volunteers involved in the preparation, setting up and taking down, these events are not possible without your help!

Rookies win first Tournament of the year

First tournament of the year and what a tournament it was!

Your Sarnian Roofing Division 1 Open winners are NE Electric Rookies, beating last year’s trophy winners, Tomahawks, in the final 18-8, congratulations!

Well done to the MVPs – Mason (Dodgy Knicks) and Paizleigh (Tomahawks)

We certainly had the weather for it (although it was far too hot at times to be running around).

We would like to thank Dodgy Knicks for visiting, we believe that 2026 marks 25 years that the team from Southampton has entered, and we’ve already been told that they will be back next year! Thank you for your ongoing support, it is greatly appreciated.

Thank you as always to the tournament organisers, volunteers, players, coaches, supporters, you name it. These weekends are not possible without you!

May Bank Holiday Tournament

The format is slightly different this time around given that we have an uneven amount of teams.

It’s a 9 team tournament. On Saturday every team will play 4 games and have 2 umpiring duties during the day. 5 teams have back to back games and these are unavoidable in this format.

Following these games on Saturday we will have a 9 team league table. The tournament will then split into two on the Sunday.

The top 4 will play in the ‘gold bracket’. Points and league standings will carry over from Saturday and then this will involve another round robin again against the other 3 teams. The top 2 overall will then play the grand final.

The bottom 5 teams from Saturday will play a KO/placing system. There is a QF (between 8th and 9th), 2 SFs (5th v winner of 8/9 as well as 6th v 7th) and placing games for 5/6, 7/8 and 9.

This system ensures everyone has between 6 and 8 games in total and hopefully allows everybody to play against as many different teams as possible.

Please ensure any guests (who are not currently signed on to a Guernsey based team) register using the following link – Guest Sign On Form

Jake & Josh secure GB selections

We would like to congratulate both Jake Elmy and Josh Smith on their GB Slowpitch selections for the upcoming WBSC Europe 2026 Men’s Slowpitch European Championships & Co-Ed Slowpitch European Championships.

Wishing you both the best of luck!

Guernsey retain 3/4 Interinsular trophies

The Muratti A team extended their streak to 13 years in a row, putting a dominant 47 runs past the Jersey side and holding them to only 10 in the process.

MVPs: Adam Bullock & Macy Cortez

Whilst the Muratti B team secured their 5th on the trot, a slightly tighter game in terms of runs but an excellent display of talent and what we have been working on in the off-season, Guernsey win 29 – 19.

MVPs: Josh Smith & Heidi Freitas (JSY)

NE Electric Rookies go back-to-back in the Upton A after beating Flyers in a closely contested game ending 19-14.

V1 Rookies narrowly missed out on an Upton B trophy in their debut season, after a sliding play at the plate ends the game 26-27 in favour of the visiting Eagles side.

We would like to thank everybody involved for making the day such a success and brilliant start to the 2026 season, you all know who you are!

And special thanks to Jersey for making the trip across the pond and bringing the competition after 2025’s cancellation, these games would not be possible without you.

2025 Muratti Squad Release

The island coaches have selected the following players to represent Guernsey in the upcoming re-arranged 2025 Muratti matches, taking place at home on the 18th April.

We would like to congratulate everyone on their selection!

The A team are seeking a 13th year consecutive win and the B team will be hunting down their 5th in a row, can they all keep the streaks alive? We hope so!
